In France, two popular cooking appliances for preparing raclette and crepes. They are the raclette grill and the crepe maker.

  1. Raclette Grill. A raclette grill is a versatile cooking appliance that allows you to prepare raclette. A traditional French dish consisting of melted cheese served with boiled potatoes, pickles, and charcuterie. The raclette grill typically features a large cooking surface on top where you can melt the cheese and grill meats. The lower section has individual trays or pans where you can melt the cheese and keep it warm. Raclette grills come in various sizes to accommodate different serving capacities, from small family gatherings to larger parties.
  2. Crepe Maker. A crepe maker, also known as a crepe pan or crepe griddle, is a specialized cooking appliance used specifically for making crepes. Crepe makers typically feature a large, flat cooking surface with low edges. Allowing you to spread the crepe batter thinly and evenly. Some crepe makers have a non-stick coating to prevent sticking and facilitate easy flipping of the crepes. Crepe makers come in electric and stovetop versions, with electric models offering adjustable temperature controls for precise cooking.
