Smecta Orange-Vanilla is a medicine containing diosmectite (3 g per sachet). It is mainly used to treat acute or chronic diarrhea and certain digestive discomforts.

Typical composition per sachet:

• Active ingredient: diosmectite 3 g

• Excipients: glucose monohydrate, sodium saccharin, orange flavoring, vanilla flavoring, anhydrous citric acid.

Presentation:

• Box of sachets containing powder. Mix with water before taking.

• Orange-vanilla flavor to make it easier to take.

Common uses:

• Symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhea in adults and children over 2 years old.

• Relief of pain and discomfort linked to certain digestive disorders.

Directions for use:

• Dissolve the contents of the sachet in half a glass of water.

• Dosage depends on age and symptom severity (often 3 sachets/day for adults).

⚠️ Precautions:

• Do not use in children under 2 years old.

• Adequate hydration is essential during a diarrheal episode.

• Contains glucose → consider this for people with diabetes.

Usage

Children from 2 years of age: 4 sachets per day for 3 days, then 2 sachets per day for 4 days.
Adults: An average of 3 sachets per day for 7 days. In practice, the daily dose can be doubled at the start of treatment.
Other Indications: In adults: on average of 9 grams (3 sachets) per day.
For Children and infants, dissolve the content of the sachet in the feeding bottle with 50ml of water or mixed with a semi liquid food, such as broth, compote, puree, baby food.
For adults Dissolve the content of the sachet in 500ml of water.
