How are Ricola sugar-free candies sweetened?
Most Ricola candies are sugar-free to meet consumer demand for lower-calorie products. To make these candies still taste sweet, they contain sweeteners. We first used aspartame, Sucralose and Acesulfame-K. However, we are gradually replacing them with low-calorie sweeteners of natural origin. We have therefore launched sugar-free plant candies sweetened with steviol glycosides extracted from the Stevia plant for a naturally sweet taste.
