How to use:
To use Mercurochrome Hydrogen Peroxide effectively, follow these general steps:
- Clean Hands. Before administering any first aid, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water to prevent introducing additional bacteria to the wound.
- Prepare the Area. Gently clean the area around the wound with mild soap and water to remove any dirt or debris. Pat the area dry with a clean towel.
- Apply the Solution. Pour a small amount of Mercurochrome Hydrogen Peroxide onto a clean cotton ball or swab. Carefully dab or wipe the solution onto the wound and the surrounding skin. Ensure that your entire wound area is covered.
- Allow to Work. Let the hydrogen peroxide solution sit on the wound for a few minutes. You may notice some bubbling as the hydrogen peroxide reacts with any bacteria or debris present in the wound.
- Rinse Thoroughly. After a few minutes, gently rinse the wound and surrounding area with clean water to remove any remaining hydrogen peroxide. You can also use sterile saline solution for rinsing.
- Pat Dry and Dress. Once the wound is clean and dry, apply an appropriate dressing, such as a sterile adhesive bandage or gauze pad, to protect the area and promote healing.
